This game is my dream come true, but it's even more unstable than Fallout 3.

Note: This is my first impression, not a true review. As it seems that everyone is jumping to conclusions about the game and barely putting a few hours into it.

My First Impression:

This game takes a massive crap on Fallout 3, in my opinion, Obsidian made Fallout 3 the way it should have been. Skills finally have use now, perception, charisma, and agility are actually useful now. Every character has a unique personality and is voice acted by a different person, unlike Oblivion where there were 5 voice actors for every character in the game, characters are quite memorable, I even found myself saddened by the death of the cowboy guy at the beginning (I can't remember his name right now). You actually have lots of speech options, unlike Fallout 3 where it was rare that you could use speech, the skill is very important in the outcome of battles and other things. The extreme option is very immersive and adds alot of realism to the game, although you only have to eat once or twice per day, it's nice to have. Fights are much harder and the best of all, you don't need to use VATS all the time, like in fallout 3, the combat is very balanced between vats and run-and-gun. The only downfall of the game is it's massive ammount of glitches, with a Nividia Geforce GT 240, I should be able to run the game on highest graphics with little problems, but the game has random FPS drops, especially in fights, when you walk into a house with lighting expect FPS lag, especially at the beginning where you fight the Powder Gangers, I had around 5-9 fps, and in some areas the game is almost unplayable. It turned out just like I feared, we game a already unstable system to a developer that is known to make extreamly buggy games, KOTOR 2, Alpha Protocol, all had an enormus ammount of bugs. But yet it seems to suck me in, despite the bugs I find myself loving the game to the point where the bugs almost don't matter. Obsidian seems very passionate about this game and I can only hope that they release a patch for it soon.
