Obsidian ruined a game that could have easily been Game of the Year.
Every time i play i get random freezes, framerate issues, and game ruining bugs. This is the only game that i have ever played in my entire life that i've taken out of the system and have thrown on the floor in frustration and anger. I'm serious.
Main Pros and Cons:
Pros:
1. Many game upgrades like items, weapon upgrades, choice, combat, areas and locations.
2. More enemy variety
3. More customization
4. Included many things i wish Fallout 3 would have had
5. More companions and incentives that come along with them
Cons:
1. TONS and TONS of glitches. I don't know how Bethesda and Obsidian could have released this game with these problems.
2. Kind of lost the creepy feeling Fallout 3 had.
3. Hardcore mode more of an annoyance than innovative.
4. Beginning story isn't short but ends fairly abruptly.
5. Graphics i don't care much about in a great game, but imagine a Killzone 2 -graphics Fallout universe.
6. Save, save, save! due to fear of crashes.
7. New Vegas is nothing like the real Las Vegas and was actually quite disappointing, even if it is a couple hundred years in the future.
As much as i would love to give this game a score near a 10 like i would have its predecessor, i can't. Don't get me wrong, if you see this for $20 on eBay because someone got tired of the glitches, buy it. Underneath the glitches, there's a great game.
