Disappointing but only because...

Honestly I was enjoying it. Up until I encountered a game breaking bug 27 hours into it! Yes, it's my fault (partially) for not keeping extra save files but I would THINK a developer would address such issues. It's not like it released yesterday.
The game is basically like the last release honestly, with some changes. That's not to say I didn't like it, I liked them both. But you can probably imagine my frustration after all my efforts were squished in the last leg of the game.
The moral of the story is that it doesn't matter how great your game is if it's broken and you aren't supporting it with patches as you should be.
I had a similar experience with Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls but that time the save file was broken, so the developers were off the hook in that case.
As far as the game play itself goes, it was smooth and it looked great, as did the last one. The missions were challenging, but not maddening. I did have to use a couple of YouTube videos to figure out one vault in particular when I got tired of wandering in circles, but not a huge problem really. The coolest thing I thought they added was the ability to have a partner come along with you and assist.
I'd give it a much higher review were it not for the aforementioned problem inherent within.
