Good FPS, with some boring details..
From the beginning, you are being immersed into a war between some guerrillas, somewhere in Africa. The arrival turns pretty hard for the player, since you have to make your way out of town, in the middle of outrageous shootout, counting only on an old pistol & rusty assaul rifle...
Overall, I must say the the game has everything you need to make you spend hours and hours playing it:
1. Freedom. you can go everywhere, everytime. huge maps,
2. Great real weapons: huge amount of firearms to choose from. for any taste. good realism, in matter of use: the weapon gets old & rusty, starts jamming...
3. story line: not very sophisticated, boring I would say: the routine is the same along the game: go to the village, get your mission, go and kill somebody... I guess Ubisoft should figure out something more interesting.
4. fellas. a good add on, but usless mostly... hehehehe when you get shot...
5. vehicles: just great, boats, cars, trucks & jeeps... mounted weapons are very good as well
6. good graphic engine. strongest part of this game: good looking, smooth running.... runs great on nvidia cards. changing daytimes, weather conditions... very nice
the flaws of the game, I should mention:
1. Like I said before: storyline is a cr...p. nothing original... the same routine all the time.
2. AI is stupid and predictive: once they spot you, they do the same stuff. also AL is cheating: they can shoot you through the bushes... a bit annoing.
3. There is nobody there.... except bad guys... no civilians... strange yeah? it would be a great idea to put somebody there, in order to give some live to the game...
In conclusion: despite its boring story, game`s pretty playble, I`d say the gameplay is relaxing... (personally, I have played this game many time, I`d say, to me, this game has become a substitute, when I have nothing new to play...). Technically is almost perfect: everything works just fine... And, like I said before, it has nothing to do with FarCry.... unfortunatelly
