Far Cry 2 is a game set in Africa in which you are a mercenary hunting down an arms dealer called the jackal. The reason I say love it or hate it is just that. If you are searching for a realistic game with RPG and FPS elements, it's right here. This aint call of duty or halo though, your health doesn't just recharge, your ammo is limited and there are no crossairs (on high difficulties), so you can tell this isn't for run and gun fans. Charge into a guard post with a AK47 and you're gonna get mowed down. You've got to use the night and day to your advantage. Sneak outside that same guard post and scout it out. Then wait till its day and use molotov cocktails, the wind, and a flamethrower to devastate the camp with the layout of the guard post in your mind. What i am really trying to say is, if you mix strategy, RPG, FPS and tactical shooter and boil it all for an hour, you get Far Cry 2 which earns my score of 9.5 But don't go thinking this is perfect. The game gets a bit repetetive and boring after a while. But still this is a great game in my opinion, so at least rent it and try it out!
