Immersive

User Rating: 10 | Far Cry 2 PC
It's been a long time I don't write a review, but this game really deserves a good one. I must admit I'm impressed by the gameplay, graphics, environment, and physics of FC2. FC2 has similarities with Stalker, but is less of a RPG and more a FPS. I am more a casual gamer and don't have much time to play games like GTA or Oblivion, but this one really got me in. There are many details that make this game so special. Even the fact that you look at the map without interrupting the game is something well-thought and there are details everywhere that show how much work is put in this game. The game has a high replay value, (given its open-world structure) and there are many side missions. The story is interesting, but what really sets this game apart from other FPS is the immersion in its world, a beautifully realized African country. The creators of the game have tried to make an experience as realistic as possible. There are a couple of shortcomings, like the fact that you can't lie on the ground or a couple of AI bugs, but considering the scope of this game they must only be mentioned, but not overemphasized. And by the way, the traveling between locations is not that a big issue (there isn't much that could have been done, given the size of the country). Btw the graphics look great, and the game runs really smooth even on a gaming laptop.

In conclusion I am going to repeat that this game really has an immersion factor and IMO a rating of 10 that every FPS fan should own.
