An amazing fps with stunning graphics, gripping storyline, astounding combat and ace multiplayer.
Far cry 2 has stunning visual graphics and lets you explore 50sq km of open land.Fire many types of different weapons at enemies in different situations and missions, exploding barrels, run down by Jeeps, gunning with a turret, grenades... there are loads of ways to kill your enemies, even creating devastating bush fires that spread over foliage destroying everything in its path with stunning realistic fire. Guns even rust and jam when they get old and can heals yourself by pulling bullets out of you and using syrettes.
Meet buddies who help you out in certain circumstances, offer side-missions to help make a mission in progress easier, they even come to your aid occasionally when you are severely wounded, but if they die then they're gone and they don't come back so use them wisely, they are valuable allies to have at your side all battle-scarred veterans who know what they're doing, so trust them and take down enemies together.
The online multiplayer is awesome, play ranked matches or non, host a match or join, choose what you want to do with game play similar to call of duty. You can't forget about the map editor, create your own map exctly how you want it to with objects and terrain tools at your disposal, be imaginative and original and make it as popular as possible, download other maps and even play full multiplayer games on them.
There are bad points like the tedious taxi ride at the beginning that takes forever, It's hard to aim onto enemies as there is no auto aim and they take a while to kill, they are not difficult to defeat but you can lose precious health targeting them before shooting them. You need to get into the habit of saving, unlike most games where you save from the pause menu in Far cry you save after completing important missions or from safe houses or important buildings. If your objective is a long way from the nearest safe house then it can get tedious driving all the way back if you get killed. The campaign is very long as well so if you're not a fan of long games then don't get it.
Far cry 2 is an amazing shooter though with all you ever need in a game. The graphics are jaw droppingly stunning and it is really life-like with interacting with things. Ubisoft has put a lot of work into this master-piece and to appriciate it I would completely recommend people to buy it.
