Far Cry was my second favorite PC game of 2004 (#1 being World of Warcraft). It had amazing graphics and fun shootouts. Far Cry Instincts is even better. The game's story, even though it is very similar, is presented in a much better way. Also, the gameplay is much more stealthy, and really makes you feel like a predator, stalking up on your unsuspecting prey. The graphics really are quite amazing. The lush tropical islands look absolutely beautiful. Your arsenal is impressive, ranging from big machine guns to your feral abilities, and setting traps is also fun and useful. After a while the game does get a little tedious, but the last mission really brings it back to life. Also, the game is quite difficult at times, just like the first Far Cry. Newbie shooters beware -- this game is hard. But, if you are an experienced shooter, you will find this game to be gorgeous and extremely fun. It really should not be missed by anyone with an Xbox.
