Instincts is a huge FPS package with fantastic graphics.
Jack Karver is set on a crazy adventure to stop Krueger a mad man who is trying to turn himself into an overpowered ape with feral abilities.In the process Jack is found,captured and experimentd on to see if the monkey moves will work on him with no disfunction before Krueger gets a shot at it.So afterwards Jack escapes and starts turning slowly into a brutal animal,he will then have many moves at his disposal as well as a wide selection of guns to help him on his quest of killing mercenaries and hunting down Krueger.
You can tear people into shreds with your claws,sense danger,jump far distances and run super fast.You can choose to run in gun or stealthly approach the games several well designed missions.If your sneaky enough you can get behind a guard and pull out a knife on him for an instant kill.Its a good way to conserve your ammo as you can run out of it really fast.Theres all the standard guns that are in the most common FPS,Shotguns,pistols,rocket launchers and machine guns,but in Instincts you can also plant traps; such as claymores and deadly spikey snapping branches the traps add a lot of fun and excitement to the game and there really satisfying to pull off.
FCI gives you the jungle feel right off the bat,you wil hear native music and wonderful sound effects that really give off that jungle feeling.Of course crickets will chirp and birds will sing but you will also hear things moving around in bushes and as all that sounds pretty generic it helps the jungle feel alive and fresh.
Easily the best part of the game is its utterly amazing visuals which takes every bit of Xbox power it can.The jungle is so lush and well colored that you just may as well drull.The water looks as real as the water you drink.The guards are not the best looking but they have much wonder and expression on there faces.
Theres single and multi player modes and there both presented really well and are both a ton of fun to play around in.Theres a decent amount of single player levels and standard game types to play with on XBL.The best feature of Instincts has to be the map making mode.You can make your own tropical paradise and play it with your friends at home or publish it on Live.Theres a lot of choices with the map making system and it adds a lot of value to the mix.
If you play a lot of FPS games theres no reason at all why Farcry should not be in your collection as it has a discount price and its easily one of the most fully featured FPS game to come out in recent years.
