Although I think that Far Cry is overall a great game, it is let down in a few areas. It is realistic in the way that you can die from just one well placed bullet, likewise for your opposition. The AI is very good also, much unlike some games where your opponents are stupid. The AI only has one downside and that is if you get near a doorway, your opponent's IQ seems to half. That is to say, they virtually give their life away by not shooting at you in a doorway.

Also, your knife can become your best weapon because when you start to get close to your enemies, they become extremely innaccurate for no apparrent reason.

However, the positives of the game greatly outway the negatives, what is mentioned above does not in any way detract from a great game.
