Far Cry : Instincts is a very fun, long lasting adventure you will want to pick up in the bargain bin and buy if you are looking for a bloody good time with your aging X-Box. It has great graphics, smooth gameplay, and a great variety of weapons and vehicles. The first thing you will notice after firing this game up is how amazingly lush and detailed it looks. This has to be one of the best looking X-Box games in existence, up there with Half Life 2 and Doom 3. (Although I must say if I had to choose Doom 3 would probably be the best looking out of the three).
This is a fully three dimentional and colorful jungle, the graphics for the foilage don't look flat and painted on like some other games with outdoor environments. The only area I would say the graphics are lacking in would probably be the enemies you will face, they are quite repetative and lacking in a distinguishable detailing. That shouldn't hamper your enjoyement of this game, however.

You will get to use great variety of handguns, shotguns, machineguns and knives to accomplish your objectives in this game. The arsenal in this game is definitely on of the best I have seen. You also have the ability to dual weild some of the guns which is a blast as well. All of the weapon sounds are different from each other which adds to the authenticity of the game. You will also get to drive or pilot five different vehicles in this game. I usually am not a big fan of vehicles in FPS, but it didn't bother me too much here. You will find yourself zipping past firefights in some sections instead of staying and shooting it out, the 4x4 really hauls.

Other than the jungle, some of the other environments you will experience in this game are a mine, underground labratories, and an active volcano! All look great are fun to get around.

All in all, a great game.
