Simply a great game, however the game's flashy colors and unique character doesn't make up for some major issues within.
Another feature of the physical appeal to the game is the symmetrical maps which eliminate all unfair advantages to either team which is a great new approach to online gaming. Not much to say about it other than that.
The class system is also unique in a way that just by placing a hat on your character you can become whatever class you want to be, you can even take a hat from your dead enemies on the battlefield. However, there are some major class balancing issues, for example the warrior class gets a shield and the most hearts out of any class, which will completely neutralize the archers ability to kill them since each and every arrow can be counteracted with the shield. There are a lot more balance issues within the classes that it makes the game less enjoyable to play online because people like to abuse these problems. However, the variety of classes does make solo play enjoyable and incredibly well-rounded, but as previously stated as soon as you transfer to online you cant ever have a fair fight.
Online is actually a close impossibility, I've been basically trying non stop to connect to online games, but you get easily discouraged when you sit for 5 minutes waiting to connect only to find that you are "not able to connect to that specific game host." For the 15 or so total hours I've put into this game I have only connected to 4 or 5 online games. This issue can easily be resolved by patching the issues with a version update which may come in the future; but when I spend $15 for a game that promises a quality online experience, and I cannot connect to online and neither can anyone else, I feel ripped out of that 15 dollars.
The single player is something else to do with this game while online seems to have issues, but the single player is VERY short; about 20-30 minutes to be exact, and its the same game as online, except with a boring storyline and you play with clueless bots and not other people. My single player Death/Kill ratio is currently 0.05 which means for ever time I die I kill 20 people inbetween. This isn't because Im a good player, but its because none of the games bots know how to play the game like a real life person would; strategically and smart.
Overall, this is a great and fairly new spin on multiplayer gaming, but until they fix the online connectivity and possibly the class balancing issues this game is definitely not all its cracked up to be. Its not that I don't like this game or feel its too hard to play, but the games issues make it just plain annoying and WAY too hard to deal with.
