Took me about 5 years to finally finish this game and I'm glad I did it. Spooky and a nice change of pace.

I played the original Fatal Frame on the Xbox like 6 years ago and really enjoyed that original game. It was really tough, but good. So I got this follow-up game way back when it originally came out 5 years ago. Since then, I kept restarting it several times over the years, but never got more than 30 minutes into it before giving up for one reason or another. (Mainly because my original Xbox would have trouble reading the disk, leading to 15 minute loading times - yuck!)

With my 60gb Sony PS3 in for service (YLOD) I pulled out the old Xbox, and went thru my old collection of unplayed Xbox games. Picked this one out of the pile, and this time 14 hours later I've just finished.

I have to say it was a great time while it lasted, but I am also grateful for a walkthru FAQ at gamefaqs as this is the kind of game I would never have the patience to finish on my own.

The video is very dated, but still good. The sound however is excellent. It had my hair constantly standing on end. Definitely try and play this on a good surround sound system late at night. It's very immersive!

Now that my 60gb PS3 is back from Sony, ($164!!), I picked up Fatal Frame 3 for the PS/2 that I look forward to playing next. Pity that as I write this Capcom seems to only be releasing FF4 in Japan on the Wii.

In Summary - I'm glad I went back to it and finished it, it was definitely worth the play.
