One of the greatest games ever!!

User Rating: 9.6 | Zero (PlayStation 2 the Best) PS2
Story:
Project Zero is about a girl named Miku, who is going to the Himuro Mansion, following her brother. He was searching Junsei Takamine there, who is a Japanese novelist and a great friend of his. Takamine and his team vanished during their research in the mansion; they were researching the mansion for Takamine's new horror novel.
Two weeks after Mafuyu left, Miku decides to go to Himuro Mansion in search of her brother. Once there, she gets to know all gruesome details about the mansion and she has to find a way to find her brother again. Will she ever find him again?

Gameplay:
The battles are special, because you're using the Camera Obscura to fight the ghosts. This camera causes close battles with the ghosts, which is nice and really adds to the tension of the game. During the game, you get Spirit Points by beating ghosts and by taking pictures of non attacking ghosts. These points can be used to upgrade your camera. This way, your camera will improve throughout the game. In your quest, you will find items to help you, like Herbal Medicines and rolls of film. The puzzles in the game are nice and they are not too difficult. What I like most about the gameplay is the vibrating controller. You can really feel Miku's heartbeat in the controller. When an evil ghost or a hint is nearby, your controller will vibrate, really adding to the tension and the fear.

Sound and GFX:
The GFX of this game are great, the environments are very well made, and the characters are very well designed too. The ghosts are looking good too, some really are scary.. The sound is great. Tecmo did a great job in putting the right music on the right place. The music and sound is important in this game, and Tecmo did it the only right way.

Overall:
Overall this is a great game. It's scary, it has a very good story and good characters. For me, Project Zero 1 is the best from the series. The replay value is very good, because after you've finished the game, you can try it again in higher difficulty modes and there is the Mission Mode and the Ghost List that you can complete. So, enough to do after you've finished the game.
