A sharp continuation of the story makes F.E.A.R. Extraction Point worth the play through, but don't expect anything new.
Almost everything was the same, from the SloMo time to the bad guys. The only difference is that three new guns were added, all of which you barely saw throughout the entire game. The visual effects were similar, so the "creepiness element" was relatively even with the original. In fact, I think this one might have been even less scary than the first.
But it's the story that holds the game together. As the last F.E.A.R. combat operative in the area, you are being hunted by the Replica soldiers. Being constantly on the run and outnumbered leaves you with a true sense of what it's like being the "last man alive."
Don't expect too much out of this expansion pack. It might give some closure to those who enjoyed the first game, but I still felt things were a bit lacking at the end. Have fun with another five hours of intense gameplay, but I wish the developers could have added something to make the combat just a tiny bit more interesting.
