Much better than some of the comments here would have you believe

I picked this up for $30 and after reading all the negative comments here I was not expecting too much. The first level was indeed proving to be pretty dull, but after a few levels the game really kicks into high gear and I found myself having a great time.

I really enjoyed this game. If there were technical issues on the PS3 that others are complaining about I guess that I am lucky enough to not even notice them or if they are there I don't even remember them.

What I remember was a great single player game, with some really good level design. Yah it's a little dated now in 2009, but the gameplay was worth it.

I really enjoy the more deliberate pace of this game over the other game I played just before (Killzone 2).

In summary, if you are on the fence about getting this and see it for cheap, then pick it up. You might like it as much as I did once you give it a chance past the first few levels.
