Sonic the Hedgehog 3's Limited Edition Steelbook will be available with Sonic or Shadow character art when the movie arrives on Blu-ray April 15. The Shadow steelbook variant is an Amazon exclusive. We recently saw the two steelbook approach with Deadpool & Wolverine, so it will be interesting to see if this format becomes a trend.

House: The Complete Series Releases On Blu-ray Next Weekhttps://www.gamespot.com/articles/house-the-complete-series-releases-on-blu-ray-next-week/1100-6528946/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2fRunning for eight seasons and 177 episodes, House was nothing short of a cultural phenomenon. The medical drama aired from 2004 to 2012, racking up a wealth of Emmy nominations--including Outstanding Lead Actor for Hugh Laurie and Outstanding Drama Series. Now, more than ten years since its final episode premiered, House: The Complete Series is getting a Blu-ray release on January 28, and preorders are disocunted to $97 (was $110) at Amazon.

House: The Complete Series Bonus Features

If you’ve already seen every episode of House a dozen times, then you’ll want to dive right into all the bonus features in this collection. Here’s a closer look at what’s included:

  • Bloopers
  • Alternate takes
  • An original short
  • Episode commentaries with writers and producers
  • Audition tapes
  • A set tour
  • Behind-the-scenes content
  • Other bonus content

That’s a pretty impressive list of bonus features--and considering the Blu-ray is now discounted ahead of its release, it’s not a bad idea to snag a preorder. Preordering from Amazon locks in a preorder price guarantee, so if the Blu-ray is discounted between now and launch, you’re only on the hook for the lowest price. You also won’t be charged until the item has shipped.

Hugh Laurie is the driving force behind House--but it turns out the actor is also a fantastic author. Laurie’s popular spy thriller, The Gun Seller, was recently republished as a deluxe paperback and is currently just $16 (was $19) at Amazon.

The novel tells the tale of a retired army officer who is offered a lucrative contract to assassinate an American businessman--but instead of taking the contract, he decides to warn the target. Things don’t quite go as planned, however, and what follows is a wild conspiracy involving the CIA, the Ministry of Defence, and rogue assassins. It’s a unique book--and a big departure from House--but consider giving it a look if you’re a fan of Laurie’s work.

Borderlands Is Up For Worst Movie And More At The Razzieshttps://www.gamespot.com/articles/borderlands-is-up-for-worst-movie-and-more-at-the-razzies/1100-6528940/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2fThe beginning of the year is typically awards season in Hollywood, as last year's films are nominated for the top prizes in the industry. Similarly, the worst films of the year aren't left out in the cold. The Golden Raspberry Awards--colloquially known as the Razzies--has shared its nominations for 2024, and the Borderlands movie is a strong contender to take home some of the dubious prizes.

Borderlands was nominated for six Razzies, including Worst Picture, Worst Director for Eli Roth, Worst Actress for Cate Blanchett, and Worst Supporting Actor noms for both Jack Black and Kevin Hart. However, Black received a special shout out in the Worst Screen Combo category, which states that the nomination is for "any two obnoxious characters (but especially Jack Black)" who appeared in Borderlands.

Will Borderlands take home these "coveted" awards? Let's just say that the competition for the worst movies of 2024 is pretty fierce. In the Worst Picture category alone, Borderlands would have to defeat some spectacularly awful films including Joker: Folie à Deux, Madame Web, Megalopolis, and Reagan. With the exception of Borderlands, all of the movies in that category also shared a nomination for Worst Screenplay. Kraven the Hunter edged out Borderlands to get the final slot for that award. Black is also nominated for Worst Actor for his turn as Satan/Santa in Paramount+'s Dear Santa. The Razzies will be awarded on March 1.

During an investor call last fall, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer touched upon the many failures of Borderlands, which included pricy reshoots by Deadpool director Tim Miller that transformed the film from an R-rated movie into a PG-13 flick.

The good news for Borderlands fans is that the video game franchise will continue regardless of the film's fate. Borderlands 4 is still on the way, and a terminally ill fan raved about it after he was given the chance to play it. The game is expected to be released this year, but an exact date hasn't been set yet.

Netflix Is Raising Prices Again, As It Discusses Vision For Video Gameshttps://www.gamespot.com/articles/netflix-is-raising-prices-again-as-it-discusses-vision-for-video-games/1100-6528932/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2fThe world is full of uncertainty, but one thing that people can reliably count on is Netflix raising prices--and that's happening again soon. Netflix has announced its latest price increase, with all three major tiers seeing an increase of at least $1 for the monthly rate.

Here are the new rates, which are effective immediately for new subscribers and will adjust upon the next billing cycle for existing members:

  • Standard with ads -- $8/month (up from $7/month)
  • Standard -- $18/month (up from $15.50/month)
  • Premium -- $25/month (up from $23/month)

For the Standard tier, customers can add an additional member to the plan for $7/month with ads or $9/month without ads. The Premium tier allows members to add up to two more members for $7/month with ads or $9/month without ads.

Netflix announced this price hike as part of its latest earnings briefing where the company disclosed its biggest-ever subscriber increase, adding 19 million new members in the past three months. Netflix now has more than 300 million subscribers globally.

"As we continue to invest in programming and deliver more value for our members, we will occasionally ask our members to pay a little more so that we can re-invest to further improve Netflix," Netflix management said in a memo.

The price increases implemented this week cover the US, Canada, Portugal, and Argentina.

An update on Netflix Games

Netflix is home to a vast library of films and TV shows, as well as video games. Asked to assess how Netflix feels about its video game output thus far, executive Gregory Peters said the company has made "some good early progress," citing successful titles like Oxenfree II and Grand Theft Auto, which he said "drove tens of millions of downloads." Peters also called out Squid Game: Unleashed, a tie-in game for the new season of the show--it speaks to what Netflix is trying to achieve, he said.

"Which is enabling this virtuous cycle between linear content and simultaneous game offerings. And we are just scratching the surface today in terms of what we can ultimately do in that space," he said. "But we already see how this approach not only extends the audience's engagement with the universe and a story but also creates a synergy that reinforces both mediums--the interactive and the non-interactive side."

Overall, Peters said Netflix is continuing to "refine our strategy" as it relates to video games. Going forward, Peters said Netflix will focus on "more narrative games" based on Netflix franchises, while at the same time launching "party and couch co-op games" for your TV delivered from the cloud. Netflix's main offerings for games currently are on mobile, but the company has--for years now--worked on cloud streaming to beam games directly to your TV or computer.

"We think of this as a successor to family board game night or an evolution of what the game show on TV used to be. So we're excited about delivering some cool experiences in that space. We'll deliver games for kids. This is no ads, no in-app payments. It's a safe space for kids just included with your subscription. And of course, we want to do more recognizable mainstream titles, whether that is licensed titles like GTA," or any number of different possibilities, Peters said.

Reports have suggested only a tiny percentage of Netflix's subscribers download Netflix games on mobile, and Peters admitted the effects of Netflix's games business thus far has been "relatively small." But the executive pointed out that Netflix's investment in games is also small, relative to Netflix's overall content budget.

"We're going to stay disciplined about scaling that investment as we see continued scaling and member benefits. So to try and summarize, there's plenty more to do in this space, but we're breaking into a whole new content category, which, by the way, drives approximately $140 billion in consumer spend," he said. "So we're iteratively showing our members that we are a place to discover and play games, and we look forward to continuing to launch bigger and bigger games every year."

In 2024, Netflix closed one of its AAA studios, headed up by industry veterans including former Halo boss Joseph Staten. Netflix still has an internal game development studio, Netflix Games Studio, as well as wholly owned external teams such as Night School Studio, Boss Fight Entertainment, and Next Games.

In related news, it was announced this week that Netflix video game boss Leanne Loombe has left the company to head up Annapurna's gaming division. Loombe joins Annapurna after a period of significant upheaval and change at Annapurna for video games.

Constantine 4K Steelbook Edition Up For Preorder At Walmart For Only $30https://www.gamespot.com/articles/constantine-4k-steelbook-edition-up-for-preorder-at-walmart-for-only-30/1100-6528309/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2f

While it remains to be seen whether the sequel to Constantine that was announced back in 2022 will actually make it to the finish line, at least fans of the original can soon watch the Keanu Reeves film on 4K Blu-ray. Constantine is slated to release on 4K Blu-ray on February 18, and two budget-friendly editions are up for preorder to commemorate the movie's 20th anniversary. Walmart currently has Constantine's Limited Edition Steelbook release available to preorder for $30; Amazon sold out at $40, so it wouldn't be surprising if Walmart sells out, too. Alternatively, you can preorder a standard 4K Blu-ray edition for $25 at Amazon or Walmart.

Constantine Limited Edition Steelbook (4K Blu-ray)

If you haven't seen the movie yet, Constantine is based on the DC comic series Hellblazer, and stars Keanu Reeves as the titular chain-smoking demon-hunter. After getting involved with an investigator exploring the death of her twin sister, Constantine finds himself caught between the forces of Heaven and Hell. It made some major changes to the source material, but overall, it remains faithful to the spirit of the comics.

The movie wasn't well-received when it was first released two decades ago, but since then, the years have been much kinder to this Hellblazer adaptation and a sequel starring Reeves has been in the works for years. However, recent updates indicate the script still isn't finished, so it's likely the film won't hit theaters for a while.

In the meantime, if you're curious about the character's origins, you can also pick up the John Constantine, Hellblazer Omnibus 1 for $105 (was $150). This massive volume collects dozens of Hellblazer story arcs, one-off issues, crossovers with other DC characters like Swamp Thing and Sandman, and behind-the-scenes materials like scripts and more.

In the years since the movie, Constantine has also appeared in other DC universe projects, including his own TV Series starring Matt Ryan as the occult investigator. It only ran for a single 13-episode season but is well-regarded as a faithful adaptation of the character, making it another great way to learn more about the Hellblazer mythos. You can grab Constantine: The Complete Series on Blu-ray for just $18.87 at Amazon.

Ryan's performance as Constantine was so popular that he even voiced the character in the animated Hellblazer films Constantine: The House of Mystery and Constantine: City of Demons, and appeared as a supporting character in other animated DC universe films like Justice League: Dark, Apokolips War, and Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Two and Part Three. You can grab all these movies on Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray at Amazon. Check out the full list of Constantine and Hellblazer releases below.

Nosferatu 4K Blu-Ray Steelbook Preorders Restocked, Includes Extended Cuthttps://www.gamespot.com/articles/nosferatu-4k-blu-ray-steelbook-preorders-restocked-includes-extended-cut/1100-6528910/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2f

Robert Egger’s Nosferatu is a chilling remake of F.W. Murnau’s iconic horror film, and it pulled in positive reviews from both fans and critics when it hit theaters late last year. And if you’re interested in bringing it to your home theater, preorders for the Nosferatu Limited Edition Steelbook are now open at Walmart ahead of the film's February 18 release on 4K Blu-ray. This release includes the original theatrical version as well as a new extended cut. The Limited Edition Steelbook has already sold out at least three times at Amazon, so you'll want to secure your preorder soon.

Quick look: Nosferatu 4K Blu-ray & Blu-ray Releases

If you don't care about steelbook cases, the standard 4K Blu-ray edition includes the same content and is available to preorder for $28 at Walmart and $30 at Amazon.

Nosferatu 4K Limited Edition Steelbook

$38-$40 | Releases February 18

Nosferatu 4K Limited Edition Steelbook

Nosferatu Limited Edition Steelbook includes 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and digital copies of Nosferatu's theatrical release and the director's extended cut. It also comes with a striking steelbook case, featuring Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp) and a sprawling shot of Nosferatu’s castle. We’re expecting the bundle to come packed with special features, but nothing official has been revealed outside of the extended cut. Preordering through Amazon or Walmart gets you a preorder price guarantee, so if Nosferatu sees a discount prior to launch, you’ll pay the lower price. You also won’t be charged until your order ships.

Nosferatu is a gothic horror film directed by Robert Eggers, who previously worked on The Northman, The Lighthouse, and The Witch. It’s a remake of Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror from 1922--which in turn is based on Bram Stoker’s iconic novel Dracula. It follows a young woman who accepts a pledge from a supernatural being to cure her loneliness. Years later, the woman marries and her husband is sent away on a commission to Transylvania--only to discover that he’s been sent to Nosferatu’s castle.

What follows is a haunting tale about fear, love, and loss, and it’s a dramatic retelling of a classic tale. Starring Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgard, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Willem Dafoe, its story is only made more intriguing due to its talented cast.

Interested in adding additional Robert Eggers films to your collection? Here’s a look at a few to consider.

Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Gets March 2027 Release Datehttps://www.gamespot.com/articles/sonic-the-hedgehog-4-gets-march-2027-release-date/1100-6528922/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2fFollowing the tremendous box office success of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Paramount has announced that a fourth film, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, is coming to theaters on March 19, 2027.

The video game-inspired series--which features a star-studded cast of Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, Keanu Reeves, and Idris Elba, among others--has been a consistent hit for Paramount and Sega. 2020's Sonic the Hedgehog was an immediate success, grossing $319 million globally and setting a then-record for highest-grossing video game adaption in North America, per a Variety report. The most recent film in the series, which saw fan-favorite character Shadow the Hedgehog added into the fray, is currently the high-grossing film in the series, sitting at $422 million earned. Earlier this year, it was announced that the franchise as a whole has grossed over $1 billion.

Considering the series' success--and Sonic the Hedgehog 3's mid-credits scene, which teases the upcoming addition of a beloved Sonic the Hedgehog character--a fourth installment seemed only a matter of time. The plot of the upcoming film is currently being kept under wraps. However, we'd be shocked if voice actors Ben Schwartz (Sonic), Colleen O'Shaughnessey (Tails), and Idris Elba (Knuckles) don't make their returns. Similarly, Jim Carrey has also been a constant in the series, serving as primary antagonist Dr. Robotnik across all three films. Earlier this year, Carrey stated that he would be open to returning if the script sounds fun.

According to Variety, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is the only film scheduled to release on that date, though things could certainly change over the next two years; though Sonic might be all about "going fast," we'll be waiting awhile for his next adventure.

Save On Silence Of The Lambs, Hannibal, And Other Hannibal Lector 4K Blu-Rays At Amazonhttps://www.gamespot.com/articles/save-on-silence-of-the-lambs-hannibal-and-other-hannibal-lector-4k-blu-rays-at-amazon/1100-6528914/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2fHannibal Lecter is one of the most terrifying serial killers to hit the big screen. The fictional character was created by Thomas Harris and is featured throughout a series of novels--though most people know of Hannibal due to the award-winning films. And if you’re interested in reliving the horrific tales, now is a great time to pick them up. Several 4K Blu-rays are currently on sale, giving you a chance to snag them at some of the lowest prices we’ve ever seen. One of the most compelling deals is for The Silence of the Lambs 30th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray, as a limited-time deal is slashing it to just $20.33 (was $40).

This version of the Oscar-winning film is packed with bonus features, including audio commentary from film historian Tim Lucas, a full-length documentary, deleted scenes, outtakes, and several smaller featurettes plus TV spots and teaser trailers. Note that some of these features are offered in standard Blu-ray, but at just $20.33, it’s an easy recommendation to any fans of horror or thriller movies.

The Hannibal 4K Blu-ray is even more affordable at just $17.85 (it was $40), and it, too, is packed with bonus features. It serves as the follow-up to Silence of the Lambs, with Ridley Scott stepping in as director. Though it didn’t earn the high marks of its predecessor, it’s a solid choice now that it’s just $17.85. Along with a 4K remaster of the film, it features audio commentary from Ridley Scott, over 33 minutes of deleted and alternate scenes, over a dozen TV spots, and several featurettes. Like Silence of the Lambs, some of these features are offered in standard Blu-ray.

The final big discount right now is for the Red Dragon 4K Blu-ray, as Amazon is slashing its price to $20.81 (was $40). It serves as a prequel to Silence of the Lambs, giving you a chance to learn more about Hannibal Lecter’s past. Bonus features are spread across 4K and Blu-ray, and include audio commentary from director Brett Ratner and screenwriter Ted Tally, several featurettes and documentaries about the film’s creation, and multiple deleted scenes.

A few other movies starring Hannibal Lecter are on sale right now, and you’ll find the best of the rest below. Unfortunately, the excellent Hannibal TV show doesn’t have a good discount right now, but you’ll find it available on Prime Video.

Best Hannibal Lecter 4K Blu-Ray Deals

Hannibal Lecter may have grown in popularity due to the hit movies, but the novels by Thomas Harris are where Lecter got his start. If you’re interested in reading through the source material for the movies, consider diving into one of the many books on sale. The Silence of the Lambs (Paperback) is a good place to start since it’s just $8.32 (was $11), though Red Dragon might be even better, as it’ll better introduce you to Hannibal and lay the groundwork for future novels.

Amazon's awesome 3 for $33 4K Blu-ray sale ends tonight, January 20, at 11:59 PM PT. You're effectively paying $11 per movie, which is quite the deal--especially when you check out the eligible films. Hundreds of movies are featured in Amazon's 4K Blu-ray sale, including a bunch of great sci-fi, fantasy, and horror films. To make it easy to browse, we put together lists of notable movies in the 3 4K Blu-rays for $33 sale. Important note: To get the deal, each movie needs to be shipped and sold by Amazon. If you don't see the "Get any 3 for $33" Savings tag under the price, that's because the store page is defaulting to a third-party seller. This is fairly common during these promotions. Just click "Other sellers on Amazon," filter only the "New" listings, and click "Add to Cart" on the option sold and shipped by Amazon.

DC Movies on 4K Blu-ray

The franchise featured the most in the sale is Batman, as there are over a dozen live-action and animated movies starring the Caped Crusader. With the new Superman movie releasing this summer, now's a good time to revisit Superman: The Movie (1978) starring Christopher Reeve and Henry Cavill's three appearances as Clark Kent: Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Justice League. For that last one, the theatrical cut and the Snyder Cut are up for grabs.

Popular Movie Franchises & Recent Hits on 4K Blu-ray

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga / Oppenheimer / Dune: Part One

Three Jurassic World films are up for grabs, including the original Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, and Dominion.

In addition to Mad Max: Fury Road and Furiosa, two older films in the franchise, The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome, are eligible.

We already mentioned Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy above, but those aren't the only Nolan films in the sale. You can also get the director's three most recent films: Oppenheimer, Tenet, and Dunkirk.

PlayStation 4 And 5 Owners Can Watch Severance Season 2 For Free--Here's Howhttps://www.gamespot.com/articles/playstation-4-and-5-owners-can-watch-severance-season-2-for-free-heres-how/1100-6528888/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2fFans of Severance (or any of the binge-worthy titles currently streaming on Apple TV+) who also own a PlayStation are in for a treat: They can view the surreal, nail-biting office drama's latest season free of charge due to a new free trial program being offered by Apple.

PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners can tune into Severance Season 2 (and other highly rated Apple TV+ shows, like Mythic Quest and Ted Lasso) without paying a dime by taking advantage of the extended free trial, which lasts for three months and can be canceled at any time.

To begin the free trial, visit PlayStation's Apple TV+ offers page. To take part in the free trial, you'll need a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, a PlayStation Network account, and an Apple account.

Here's how to activate the free trial on your device:

  • Make sure you're signed into your PlayStation Network account on your PS4 or PS5.
  • Locate the Apple TV+ app in the "TV and Video" section on your PS4 console, or in the "Media Home" section on PS5.
  • Download and open the Apple TV+ app, following the on-screen instructions.
  • Sign in with your Apple account (or create one for free).
  • Enjoy your 3 month extended trial of Apple TV+.

The promotion's terms of service state that the three-month freebie is "valid only for new and qualified returning subscribers to Apple TV+," so it's possible not every PlayStation owner will qualify. But not to worry--Apple also has a sweet deal for viewers who aren't caught up on last season's heart-pounding conclusion. Currently, Severance Season 1 is available on Blu-ray for 40% off. Physical copies of Season 1 normally go for $43 USD, but fans can currently purchase the show's first season for only $25.79.

Fans of The Matrix can add all four movies on 4K Blu-ray to their collection for cheap right now. Amazon and Walmart have The Matrix Deja Vu Collection for only $35 (was $85), which matches the all-time low price. We typically only see this box set for this low of a price during major sales events like Black Friday and Prime Day.

The first Matrix film, released all the way back in 1999, is arguably still the best of the lot and has held up surprisingly well over the years. A masterpiece of storytelling, action, special effects, and sound design, it's a lean-and-mean blockbuster that took the world by storm and broke new ground at the time with its slow-motion choreography. It felt like almost every action film was copying Neo's bullet-dodging acrobatics in the wake of this film's release.

While they aren't as highly regarded, The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions are still great movies in their own right. The Wachowski Sisters returned to direct the follow-ups, and with a bigger budget behind them, the action reached new heights across freeway chase scenes, a massive brawl in the Merovingian's manor, and all-out war in Zion between humanity and an endless number of killer robot squids. The Matrix Resurrections is a nostalgic return to that universe, and while it's not as grand as the films that came before it, it still has some interesting ideas and themes that it explores. There's a large number of extras in this collection, including interviews, trailers, and behind-the-scenes featurettes.

For more Keanu Reeves movies, check out Amazon's deal on John Wick: Chapters 1-3 on 4K Blu-ray, which drops the price to only $29. If you don't mind standard 1080p Blu-ray, it's worth noting Amazon has a budget-friendly box set with all four films for only $30. The first John Wick film recently received the Titans of the Cult treatment, but this Amazon-exclusive release is currently full price ($60).

If you want to add more 4K Blu-rays to your collection for low prices, make sure to check out Amazon's 3 for $33 promotion on 4K Blu-rays before it expires on January 20. You can browse the full list of notable 4K Blu-rays in our roundup.

United States Supreme Court Upholds TikTok Banhttps://www.gamespot.com/articles/united-states-supreme-court-upholds-tiktok-ban/1100-6528877/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2fThe United States Supreme Court has upheld an impending ban on TikTok, finding that the act of Congress does not violate First Amendment protections on free speech. That leaves the ban set to go into effect starting on Sunday, January 19, though it may not be enforced.

In a per curiam decision, the SCOTUS found that the government had provided adequate justification regarding data collection and national security. That was the impetus for the initial push to ban the app as a bipartisan act in Congress, though TikTok could remain active if it found a buyer in the United States by the deadline. The ban is set to go into effect Sunday, just one day before the incoming inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.

Though the ban was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Biden last year, Biden has reportedly signaled that he won't enforce the ban on his last full day in office. That will leave the fate of the app up to Trump, who has said he intends to keep the app available in the US. He has not detailed a specific plan regarding how he'll circumvent the ban, but he had requested a delay from the court. The law does allow for a 90-day pause if there has been progress toward a sale, and various buyers have reportedly proposed purchasing the app.

TikTok is owned by ByteDance Ltd., which has come under scrutiny for its ties to the Chinese government. At oral arguments, lawyers for ByteDance suggested that finding a buyer would be especially difficult because Chinese law would restrict the sale of its proprietary algorithm, which is the backbone of the app itself. TikTok itself is preparing to simply shut down its US services on Sunday.

TikTok is a social media video sharing app with a massive audience, including a major gaming presence. Video game music and sound effects are often used in remixes, and players often share gaming reactions with the platform.

First Until Dawn Trailer Provides A Look At Upcoming Film's Thrills And Chillshttps://www.gamespot.com/articles/first-until-dawn-trailer-provides-a-look-at-upcoming-films-thrills-and-chills/1100-6528862/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2fSony has provided audiences with another look at its upcoming Until Dawn film the release of the film's first trailer trailer showing the cast of unlucky characters facing off with masked slashers, corpse-like creatures, and skin burrowing bugs.

The trailer follows an earlier glimpse at the footage which was brief but gave viewers a good idea of the jumpscares to come.

Though the film has a new cast and doesn't follow the exact plot of the game, Peter Stormare's Dr. Hill does reprise his role, providing a connection to the film's gaming roots. But the game's all-star cast (which included the likes of Hayden Panettiere, and Rami Malek, among others) has been refreshed with Odessa A'zion, Ella Rubin, and Maya Mitchell stepping into starring roles.

Writer and producer Gary Dauberman said that while the plot and characters may not be identical to the game itself, his ultimate goal in making the film was "giving the audience the same experience they got playing the game." Director David F. Sandberg also stated that the film has an authentic tone and vibe that fans of the game will likely notice, but he added that rather than being a shot-for-shot adaptation, the upcoming film would also build on the Until Dawn universe.

A remake of the spine-tingling 2015 choose-your-own nightmare adventure was released in 2024, and its ending hinted at a sequel, so it's possible the film will implement elements from the remake as well as the original.

The trailer ended with a promise (or a threat, depending how you look at it): "Coming soon." Until Dawn releases in theaters on April 25, 2025.

Normally $200, you can pick up this replica of the 2022 McLaren F1 Car for just $160 at Amazon and Walmart.

If you'd like something a little newer--and quicker to build--the Lego Speed Champions 2023 McLare F1 is available for $24. For some Nascar fun, you can pick up the Lego Technic: NASCAR Next-Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for $39 (was $50) and a smaller Lego Speed Champions version for $22 (was $27).

Other Lego sports car sets are currently on sale, such as the Lego Technic: Bugatti Bolide for $40. You can also pick up Lego Speed Champions sets of the Porsche 963 and the Ford Mustang for just $24 each (normally $27 each), the BMW M4 GT3 for $36 (was $45), and the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 from 2 Fast 2 Furious for $20 (was $25).

Since we already mentioned one Fast and Furious Lego set, we should also note that the Lego Technic replica of Dom Toretto's Dodge Charger from The Fast and the Furious is available for $120 at Walmart. This particular set has been retired--which means that Lego no longer produces it--so this will be your last chance to grab it at close to retail price before the remaining stock is snapped up and sold at a premium by resellers.
