When I first read about field commander i thought it was a **** advance wars clone and nothing new could be added to the genera. Boy was I wrong. If you are in a rush i will sum it up Ok. take the online of socom fireteam bravo, the mapmaker of advance wars for the gba. the graphics of a ps2 game, the ability to play some one who is sleeping (perse`), and well a lot of other cool features and you get field commander. personaly my favrate thing about field commander . is quote on quote "create and share custom missions" (back cover) not just in your games but you can upload it to a master server were it can be downloaded and played by anyone as of may 31 2006 I have uploaded 2 missions my username is firl21. back to the game it has a uniqe " transmission mode wich is like play-by-email.
both players dont have to be online att the same time player 0ne moves than the bord is sent to the servertwo hours later player 2 could log on and make his moves menwhile player ones psp is off and he is sleeping. the bord will stay saved on the master server untill the game ends. then there is online play and ad hoc wich is psp-psp insted of psp-server-psp. there is a quick battle mode in wich you load a map and play it. Then ther is story mode wich i will not revel but it is quick battle with a story. last but not least online ranking i am currently 443 in the world. even though it lacks 4 player it makes up in online. it trades its cartoon like cuteish game play for a more cold and harsh look. over all it is nice to get a advance war esk game for the psp. overall i give it a 10. email me at emerbaum@yahoo.com (i dont hate hate mail i like to read it . ignants write funny emails.)
