The lack of manager mode within fifa 06 may be a blow but the rest of this game is fully packed with excitement and fun

User Rating: 8.9 | FIFA 06 PSP
If you have played FIFA 2006 on the bigger and more established consoles then you will have witnessed the manager mode that goes with it. This, unfortunately, is absent within FIFA 06 for the PSP. This may seem a heavy blow to the game but infact the game manages to create a sense of excitement that will keep you playing for hours, day after day. Along with the lack of manager mode, FIFA has a few problems but these hardly degrade the experience. Apart from these unnoticeable minor flaws, FIFA packs a fistful of features ranging from comeback challenges, in which you have a certain amount of time to win a game with the designated team, and custom leagues and tournaments in which you can select the amount of teams, the teams themselves and the conditions within it e.g. number of legs in the knockout rounds or how many teams per group. FIFA's main positive is it's new and improved gameplay. The inclusion of tactics when playing is great. These range from focusing on wing play during offensive plays or catching the opposition offside using the offside trap when in defence. The commentary when in-game can become repetitive but it isn't totally bad. Free kicks and corners run smoothly as does all of the game and the graphics are absolutely stunning. In all, FIFA 2006 for the PSP is an enthralling experience and should be bought by all PSP owners.
