H O R R I B L E ! ! ! ! ! Worst FIFA game ever!! DO NOT BUY THIS AWFUL GAME!! Get WE9
The 2006 FIFA is a "disguised" version of the 2005 machine, except for some tweaks done to it to confuse low IQ people, such as the "new" controller configuration -copied from WE, also to confuse unintelligent hardcore FIFA followers who deep within understand WE is such a much better product yet they never accept it-.
The graphics -FIFA's supposedly advantage over WE- are horrible. The player's motion is awful, painfully slow and clumsy. The passing game is ridiculously easy, good for a 4yr old but not for an adult. The dead ball plays settings are terrible, the Spanish play by play (done by Mexicans) is the worst ever. I had to mute my tv set otherwise a little longer I would have thrown my tv set out the window. If you are bilingual and speak Spanish do yourself a favor and stick to the English version. I'm dead serious you could loose it and hurt someone. The menu screens are also tedious and horribly designed, boring, gosh I mean really are these EA people really getting paid for coming up with a product like this!!
Well, the list of this game's ineptitudes goes on and on. Believe me, the good reviews you see come from die hard FIFA fans who always compare it to the prior year's version. Of course the current year's will always be better b/c of the updated rosters but this time having bought and played both, the 2005 one was far better. So nutshell, if you are not a FIFA fan and you are just looking to buy a good soccer game, FIFA 2006 is not for you. It is an awful game.
The only good thing about ths title if comparing it to WE is the sound track and the gorgeously rendered stadiums however; you do not buy this game b/c you want to listen to good music. Bottom line is always the gameplay, and the when comparing this crapshot to WE is not even close. WE9 is the best soccer or sports title for that matter out there. Do not believe the overhyped and bias review from Gamespot. I made that mistake and found myself $45 poorer. Thanks for reading this.
