I'll give the game one thing, EA sure knows how to market

What can I say about Fifa 2006? Well, if you have been following the franchise and if you do not live under a rock, you will notice that the game gets old. There is a notable improvement of game fluency yet its not there. Most players always wait for the ball, the shooting of the ball seems akwardly impossible and the goalies and defenders seem to have been hit way too many times with a soccer ball. When the goalie charges for the ball, he runs in an L shape, to a side and then forward, leaving the net wide open. It is also unrealitic with the players and I am quite sick of that. WE all know Ronaldinho is the GOD of socccer but its unbelivable how he beats the best defenders in 90% of headers, the most annoying part of the game is the easyness to score from a cross and even more annoying to see the forward score a header without jumping.
Now for the positives: the game looks pretty and has good sound. If you follow the Mexican League, you will be familiarized with the Commentator which is a plus. If you play online, you can have fun unless people play cheap by taking advantage of the horrible headers and lame defenders. I've tried to play as realistic as possble but its too complicated. THere is a bug in the game (again with the headers) where the forward gets a header but the lame animation of the defender streching his foot blocks it and the ball passes right outside the net,where its considered a goal.

Conclusion: the game should focus a lilttle bit on defnese moves because all the offensive moves are there. The animations dont do anything but just show the bugs within the game THERE SHOLD BE NO PLAYER BELOW 50 overall or players with outrageous skill points. MOst unlockables should be removed bacause most people spend playing the game online and you cant use the unlockables.
