Well I stopped playing Fifa(football actually) a few years ago after I tried almost every fifa, pes game then around 2 years ago I got pes 2008 for PC and yeah it was not bad. Then got myself a PS3 and tried PES 2009. At first I thought the game was cool and I enjoyed playing it but game after game I realised that the game has many many flaws so I decided to try Fifa next year so got Fifa 10 this year and there is a clear daylight between these two games.
Player likeness and overall graphics and small details are much better in PES but everything else is much better in Fifa. You actually feel like you are playing football for real. I havent tried pes 2010 so it wouldnt be healthy for me to compare these two games but what I heard is its pretty much the same style with 2009 and if thats the case it cannot compete with Fifa at all
