Continues the bad kind of football.
I didn't play FIFA 08, but I hope that it was like 07, just better.
I tried FIFA 09 on Xbox, and was hugely disappointed. Passing was unreliable at best, shooting was next to impossible, and to dribble, I just held a firm grip on the right stick, and shook it like a madman. Better graphics though.
FIFA 10... well, it's taken the bad things from 09 and made them even worse. Making a through pass now means "passing to an opponent and HOPE he just misses", charging the power bar to a harder-than-lumping shot takes more than enough time to get tackled, and anyone can be a Messi.
One example: I played a game on World Class difficulty, as Wolverhampton, against Barcelona. I had a 6-3 lead at half-time. I didn't shoot, I didn't pass, I just held in the Control key (like the right stick on Xbox) and walked the ball in the net. Of course, Barca did the same.
The AI and game engine in general makes me feel like I should go postal in EA HQ. Too many goals have been conceded due to players colliding in ones own box, or AI players randomly tackling from behind.
Overall, the game is terrible. Don't buy it.
