A step in the wrong direction.
I'll just strike away with positive points for the game i think the graphics this year round is far better players look lot more like themselfs and they have added in some prospective youthful player faces into the game.
I also am in favour of the new level of tricks players can do its more realistic because it chooses fairly the level of dribbling talents a player has because when do we see players like Miroslav Klose or Rooney pull off tricks like Messi or Ronaldo?
I've always been in favour of their physics engine of player collisions and physical battles to gain possession but I'm not 100% all in favour for it this year which i will get to later.
They revamped the career mode made it more interesting realistic price ranges for players i wouldn't agree with what players are getting paid weekly as i find it highly unlikely that Balotelli from Manchester City would be on a wage under 100 grand a week i believe the game said he was on 39 grand a week but thats just a little gripe because we all know what City are like.
Adding in the oppertunity to play as the goalkeeper is also a nice little twist not really a thing i would do due to never finding any interest in playing as a goalkeeper outside real football.
Right my problems with this game, As i said from the very beginning the demo is very misleading that's my first problem, Their is far to much emphasis on physicality battles in this game, 2010 edition had it bang on with the correct balance of not too much physicality EA Sports have to realise this is Football not American Football, The whole physical battles rule teams out and surprisingly make teams like Barcelona not that strong you will have to be very good and smart to beat teams like Chelsea when using Barcelona, Messi's pace and Iniesta's are almost always ruled out by blunt strength which is a unfair representation of real life football.
Their is a few bugs that i have seen so far from playing, The defenders in such when calling out my defender or so to back myself up he (my defender) almost always seems to either get skinned or will foul the player and before someone wonders i do play on the World class difficulty so maby thats what it is i don't really know but it can be very annoying.
Another thing player reactions can be very slow i understand they took out ping pong passing thats great of them to do so but taking out one problem and replacing it with several is not the correct way to make a game teams like Barcelona you expect them to have flawless passing skills and be very fast and wirey on the ball they aren't as easy as Fifa 2011 portrays them to get them off of possession I'm not even a Barcelona fan for this matter just to be clear If anything I should be happy this game is all about physicality and my team is Chelsea a very strong team in this game.
This Fifa game also neglects smaller teams and even neglects teams that have alot of history I.E. Ajax, PSV, Rangers and Celtic
which is abit unfair on fans who want to use their team and not the big top ten teams of the world i would suggest Fifa get to work on doing more research on lower leagues too because they are supported whether they knew that or not.
Also the sheer fact they don't have player faces for Hamsik and Suarez?
Thats beyond me how could you not have their player faces they are both amazing talent i really don't get the 9.0 rating from GS but i do see alot of flaws with this game 2010 wasn't amazing but it was better than 2011 Fifa.
