OK, we all know Fifa is a great sports game, we all know its better on one of the major consoles, and what we all know is the PSP is no longer a priority for developers and this game proves it. From start to finish all you get is a data updated game, new players, new teams a couple of new modes but there really only adaptations of other modes. The manager mode is identical to previous versions and that of past ps2 Fifa games (11 not included). The defender AI is pathetic on amateur difficulty but slightly improved on professional. Its good to see that true pace is being shown for quick players such as walcott who easily blitzes defenders. One annoyance is that your wing backs do not push forward and overlap on attack no matter what set up you have. During manager mode you expect to be able to change your formation to approach harder games with more tactile efficiency, however you can only choose from a few preset formations and not create your own. Graphically there isn't much improvement from previous games in the series but the PSP is old and frankly there isn't much more that can be done to make this any better. My advice is that if you already have Fifa 10 wait for 11 to come down in price before purchasing, 11 is good but i feel cheated having to pay £29.99 for what is essential an update of fifa 10 probably made within a couple of weeks, good for the commute but long term playability will bore you, until we give PES a chance AGAIN!!
