FIFA 11 PC Review: The best ever football game for PC so far.
But the sad thing is its a game which was almost a year back – yeah its FIFA 10 Console version. EA sports always gives important to console gamers as we were in hell last year – FIFA 10 PC. FIFA 10 PC is the worst ever sports game i had played. So I decided to buy PES 2010 last year. But its all about last year, forget it guys.
I was in big confusion few months ago – whether to buy PES 2011 or FIFA 11. But there is no FIFA World Cup 2010 for PC which makes to scare about the PC version of the game. Thankfully Ian made an official statement that "FIFA 11 PC is Next Gen this year" – thanks for those official screenshots. Then the road was very clear for me to heading up to FIFA.
But the game was in development for almost two years in time. But there is no any new features apart from FIFA 10 console versions, its been really frustrating indeed.
FIFA 11 console versions has some new features – Pro passing, Personality plus, Career mode - "Be a Pro Mode" and "Manager Mode" have been merged into the new "Career Mode", where the player can choose to be a player, manager, or player-manager for over 15 seasons, Be a goalkeeper, AI players are capable of learning trick shots and other moves. Even PS2 and PSP versions of the game has Career mode. But hardly all those above features are not in PC versions of the game. May be those new features might be ported next year for PC.
I was not so impressed with the new manager mode. More than 95% of the matches are in night and rain. I don't know whether EA Sports love rainy night so much. Really need a patch to fix it soon. Cup matches are easier than league matches. I beat Liverpool in English league cup, but failed to beat them in Barclays Premier League match.
Most of my top players will be injured soon. Recovery time gets too long. One of the huge disappointment is there is no practice sessions. But transfers are quite in reality – I made some huge offers for few mid range players, but the fact is they are not interested in my club. So I won't complain about transfer system used. But most of the community members are not impressed with this year's transfer system.
Online was amazing specially when we play against our friends to fight for top ranking. New 5 v 5 online team play and Pro Club Championship are really great.
I just love the game at its best. But desperately need a patch to fix the existing lag in gameplay and manager mode. I hope EA will release an official patch as soon as possible.
