We are 11 ? No, We are more like a 5 !!!!
First, I'll touch on the good points (should'nt take long). Obviously, all the licences are in place player and club wise. That goes without saying when it comes to the FIFA games. You can play as any of the modern teams or players which does make it more like playing real football. The ability to download the latest teams is also a very good tool.
An addition this year is the ability to store all your details on the "FIFA Hospitality" feature, which will allow you to carry over all your settings and styles to other FIFA games.
The ability to play as a goal keeper is great fun and creates a better all round experience. The online 11 vs 11 is a fab idea in principle but to be honest, after spending 4 or 5 games with other muppets just running round trying to be a striker despite the fact that they were supposed to be a fullback, I got bored and gave it up as a bad job.
Now the bad points.....
The first has got to be the lack of stadium choice. A very poor decision to not at least have the stadium names (even if they couldnt be bothered trying to build the designs into the game). This really damaged the authenticity of the game.
The game play is poor to say the least. It appears to have taken a step backwards from FIFA 2010. You feel like you are running through treacle all the time. The plays is slow, deliberate, and more than a little frustrating. I had heard that it had been made harder to score etc etc, but all the old things are still there. Scoring is easy, making the same moves always gets you what you want etc etc etc.
The "Be a Pro" mode is extremely badly done. The AI of other players on your team is laughable. Players will play slow, sluggish passes to you that are just picked up by the opposition. You can make a forward run and ask for through ball, only for your team mate to hold onto the ball for about 30 seconds too long and then pass to you when you are offside. Your players will even kick the ball against each other and on more than one occasion, I have been tackled by my own players.
The manager mode is equally as badly done. The transfer market and dealings are just rubbish and things like getting emails from your assistant coach telling you that a 19 year old player needs resting 4 games into the season is just ridiculous.
All in all, a very poor, disappointing let down.
Not worth wasting your money on....
