EA Sports deliver again with this amazing football game !

User Rating: 9.5 | FIFA Soccer 11 PS3
I am a huge fan of football games and have been playing every Fifa game since Fifa 08. I have always admired the way EA has presented it's football games. The graphics have always been top notch and the players look as real as they can. This aspect has definitely not changed with Fifa 11. Infact, the players look much more realistic than they did in the previous versions of the game.

Gameplay is very good and any regular Fifa player will easily get accustomed with Fifa 11 without any difficulties. The one feature which has been changed is the penalty kicks. It is much more tougher to take penalties than in the previous versions of the game as we have to first stop a fast moving bar to a small green area and then take the kick. While this is challenging and fun, it does become a tad bit irritating and unfair when taking a penalty kick in an online match as even a little bit of lag can decide where the bar stops. So even if you stop the bar accurately in the green zone, it may drift away towards the red zone due to lag.

An amazing feature in FIFA 11 is the 'pro clubs'. The developers have really worked hard on it and improved this aspect of the game that always had huge potential in my opinion. The ability to be a goal keeper is fun as well and overall, one can end up spending a lot of time completing the various accomplishments for his Pro in order to improve him for the Club Matches.

Manager mode has now been changed and one can also be a Player Manager or simply a Player. However, if someone does become a player and joins a big club, he will be spending most of his time staring at the screen while his matches are being simulated as he will not be picked for the majority of the matches. Thus it is always better to start out from a low-ranked club and make your way to the top. This is one feature EA should have looked at and not given the users the oppurtunity to join a big club from the beginning as a casual gamer may just start out with a big club and end up getting really bored staring at the screen.

The feature to save and view your replays after the match is something many users wanted for a long time and it is definitely a great addition to the game. Custom chants feature is decent as well but it is not easy to hear the chants during the game unless one wants to totally reduce the commentary and other sounds.

I believe that this game is definitely the best in the Fifa series so far and EA has again delivered. It has some minor flaws and one of them which is really annoying is that in the PS3 version of the game, once we start up Fifa 11 we have to wait for around 10-15 seconds every time as the trophies are loaded. This was never present in the previous Fifa games and is definitely a nuisance.

However, if there is any football fan out there, he should get this game without a doubt as this is the closest one can get to actual football without physically playing it !
