Fifa 13 Rating- 9.5/ 10 A

User Rating: 9.5 | FIFA 13 X360
Intro:
Fifa 13 is a very well rounded game with many fun game modes, and it is one of the games that you can't get sick of.

Main Menu:
The main menu is very well organized, with different game modes on a band across the bottom. The only down side is that the kick off mode is slightly hidden, but otherwise the main menu is very easy to operate and find things.

Opening Cut Scene:
The opening cut for Fifa 13 is the audio of a goal, and while it is fairly strange, and not very descriptive, it is a good way for first time players to understand and become excited.

First Impression:
I have played Fifa before on different consoles and in many different years, but this years was by far the best. Each year EA improves the gameplay, modes, and this years modes are fun, and the gameplay is very smooth. Automatically I went to play Manager Mode, and it was very fun, and very addictive.

Graphics:
The graphics in Fifa 13 are very good and realistic. Not only are they realistic, but after important plays, it shows in depth replays, that are almost as real as you would see on a T.V.

Physics:
The way the ball moves in Fifa 13 is almost identical to real life. The curve is very realistic, and the ball skills look real. The only con to the physics is the glitch on tackles, and keepers, where the player is pushed forward 20+ yards. Other than that rare occasion, the game is very realistic.

Controls:
The controls for Fifa 13 are very user friendly, and they are easy to catch onto. Even with more advanced skills like curving the ball, it is easy to use and the controls are not complicated. The only hard part about the controls are skill moves. Basic skill moves are not very difficult, but some of the harder moves, like rainbows, can be difficult and complicated. Other than that the skills are very easy to learn, which creates a better gameplay for worse players.

Difficulty:
There are 5 (6 if you include Ultimate in Ultimate Team Mode) different skill levels in Fifa 13, Amateur, Semi-Pro, Professional, World Class, and Legendary. The difference between the different difficulties is noticeable, and helps you progress throughout the game. The higher the game mode the more of a challenge there is, and also the game becomes more realistic. In Ultimate Team there are different divisions for seasons, and the difficulty is already chosen, which helps you progress as a player, rather than staying on one difficulty where you win every game. The difficulty in Fifa 13 is very appropriate, and helps you learn to become a more skilled player.

Sound and Music:
In Fifa 13 the games are announced primarily by Martin Smith and Alan Smith, with sideline reports by Geoff Shreeves, and hearing there voice like a real live game wraps the game up completely. It makes you feel like you are watching the game, which makes it that more addictive. The background music is good, although not all the songs are very well known, but they do well in the small part they serve.

Ultimate Team:
The Ultimate Team mode is very fun, but it takes lots of patience, a positive attitude, and you need to put time into it. When you start out you have a team with all Bronze players, and your team's rating and chemistry are very bad. Chemistry is one of the most important, if not the most, aspects of your team. Chemistry is a number that goes up to 100 that shows how well your team plays together. Ways your chemistry goes up is if players who play next to each other are from the same country, play on the same team, or if they play in the same league. Once you have worked your team up to having Silver, and Gold players in the seasons mode or the cup more, offline or online, you should start saving up money, and getting players who have good chemistry. Overall Ultimate Team is one of the better game modes in Fifa 13, and although it is hard, once your team is good you feel very rewarded.

Online Seasons:
Online Seasons mode is a very fun mode to play on, and it also helps you adjust to online play. While you can play as any team and work your team up to Division 1, starting on Division 10, you learn what tactics work and how to play with a team. One nice feature in Online Seasons mode is you only play teams with similar overall, and in similar Divisions. Online Seasons is a great mode to play, and fun to play while taking a break from other modes.

Career Mode:
Manager Mode:
The Manager Mode in Fifa 13 is one of my personal favorites. Once you have chosen your team you would like to manage, you are able to transfer people, change your squad, sign scouts, and even sign players for longer. The longer you play the more opportunities you have, like coaching a national team, or getting better players who are worth more. This mode is very fun and never gets old.

Player Career Mode:
Player Career Mode is very fun, and is very easy to play for a long time. Watching your player progress while playing for your club and your country is very fun. Although your player probably will get loaned out, it is fun waiting to see who wants you to play for them or to see if you get loaned out. This game mode is very fun, but it takes a lot of patience.

Multiplayer:
The multiplayer aspect of this game is very fun when you are playing against someone else, but when you are on the same team as someone, it can get tricky. Although it is harder, its a fun way to play.

Strengths:
smooth gameplay
fun game modes
wide variation of difficulties
easy controls
fun online features

Weaknesses:
physics (sometimes)
multiplayer (on same team)
over power some attributes and opportunities i the game (inside post shots)

Overall:
Fifa 13 is one of the best, and most addictive, games I have played, and it keeps getting better and better. I know that next years will be smoother, and even more fun than it already is.
