better, but still second best.

EA have clearly put a lot of effort into improving their football game over last year's infuriating entry, in many ways they have succeeded in addressing many of that games many shortcomings. Presentation is improved, though that wouldn't have been one of my criticisms of any previous FIFA game, with a more expanded management aspect to the career mode and even more licensed teams, stadia and players - this is appreciated, but if the gameplay is as flat as preceding entries it doesn't mean a whole lot, thankfully it's here where the most attention has been paid, resulting in a game which can be frustrating at times, but far less so than other FIFA titles I have played - a 300% improvement over '04, and it has online play which puts it's score up a whole point, take note Konami. The real question hanging over any new football title though is how it compares to Konami's Winning Eleven series which is, for those in the know, by far the best example of video game footer. In my opinion, EA have made great strides in bridging the gap, but it was so large to begin with that it stills falls way short, nice try though, maybe next year, etc.
