Great style, dope moves, great music, but average gameplay. Hopefully they'll do the game perfectly in version 3.
Gameplay:
Bad news first. The gameplay is where this second installment of FIFA Street is average. The AI can tend to be cheap and continue to do "okie-dokes" on you and make your players fall, while racking up points. This is particularly annoying during the trick point challenges, where the computer will continue to move back and forth doing beat moves, leaving the player completely helpless. All other facets of the gameplay seem to be good. One slightly irritating thing is that the AI can do a move pretty far from a player and the controlled player will still get juked. Makes no sense, but hopefully that's something they can tweak in the next installment. Also, something the developers may want to borrow from NBA Street is the trick stick indicator, which shows the direction the trick stick was moved instead of having to do the moves through trial and error. Gamebreakers and the camera needs tweaking as well.
Graphics:
Above average graphics. Nothing really stands out in terms of the environment. Pretty standard character models. The create-a-player feature seems like a cross between Def Jam: Fight for New York & NBA Street V3. No harm in borrowing from those franchises.
Sound:
Incredible soundtrack. No complaints here. Standard game sounds, with nothing that really stands out.
Overall:
This is a pretty fun game to play, especially with your crew and even against the computer. Although some of the beat moves can be challenging to perform since there is no trick stick indicator, a lot of the moves performed will be through trial and error and you'll see a lot of the same moves. Avoid Trick Point challenges against the computer at all costs. It may take more than a few times to defeat the AI in that portion of the game. Hopefully, in EA's next FIFA Street iteration, they'll tweak this game's shortcomings and the game will be able to stand up next to NBA Street.
