Now i am a big gamer and rent anything that comes out. Fight Night was the big break through in boxing games. Until its release we were stabbing the hell out of the buttons (for all consoles-80's, 90's) to knock our opponent down. i think it is one of the biggest turning points in boxing games. To be able to use the analog controls and work our way in by jabbing, hooking and then laying an upper-cut blew me away. I played the original to the final finale of 12 exausting rounds to come back in the final 3 to beat Ali. I was waiting in final ancipation as Fight Night 2 came out with another top quality game. But i was suprised by 3. The cinematic slow mo of the knock down- the same, but the sound of the bones breaking....crack crack crackle crackle........hmmmm. Fighting the great Evander at the very start of my career in the Windy Boxing gym.. are you joking. Boxing is all about the struggle to the top. It seems like they have changed the feel of it to a more arcade like approach. i suppose what i am trying to say is that it has lost touch with a sense of reality. This is a sport after all, not Tekken. Now don't get me wrong. i love it but i thought it was going to be more.
