Good Game but a Few Downfalls

As a boxing fan I had to try this game. Since it was on Greatest hits I bought it. Game is fun especially for boxing fans, pitting Ali against Tyson was a joy and something I've always wanted to see. Gameplay is very realistic and effective. Blocking, weaving and punches all look really good and realistic most of the time.

What I didn't like about the game is the total punch control system. I find at times I want to jab I throw right straights or Left hooks. And when I want to the go the body I'll throw a hook or an uppercut. Its almost too sensitive at times. Also career minigames for training are either A ridiculously easy or B ridiculously tough, and for the most part that makes them greatly un-enjoyable.

Overall I say its a good game and probably the best in the series that I've played so far. But boxing games still have a ways to go to be really good and meet there potential.
