I bought this game expecting a Final Fantasy action RPG that finally eliminated the hassle of random encounters. The game is actually super lame, the story is totally uninteristing, characters completely irrelevant. There's no trace of the beautiful FF plots whatsoever, the action is repetitive to death, you basically run around killing monsters over and over again, sometimes re-doing the same levels. The weapon upgrade system is a pain in the ass, as you have to buy materials and recipes to build them, and to get a new weapon that is even slightly better than the one you own is a very long, painful process. The graphics are pretty good, a real waste given the hideous gameplay they support. The soundtrack is one of the most awful and inappropriate I've ever heard. It's so weak and boring it underlines the game's inane action perfectly. I'm sure the game it's fun to play in multiplayer, but the requirements are so absurd almost nobody will get to enjoy it that way. As a big FF fan I gave this game multiple chances but couldn't phisically make it. I ended up selling it on eBay.
