Two great classics which I would recommend to new comers and final fantasy fans.

User Rating: 8.5 | Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls GBA
Now, this is a review on two games, not one, so I will review each one separately and then review the cartridge's value and overall score.

Final Fantasy I:

Gameplay: Well the gameplay sticks to the original final fantasy which is completely turn based but still brilliant, very simple and easy for any new comers to get used to compared to any other final fantasy game. The game will let you choose at the start which classes you want your character to be, and will let you name them. If you have played any other Final Fantasy games, you can see where they originated from. The game is pretty much the same as the original which will have the same weapons, status effects, monsters, and bosses. There is a lot of added stuff such as four dungeons which will show you a load of other bosses from other Final Fantasy games (play them at you own risk, could be spoilers). The bad thing about this game is that people may find it easy. If that is the case, play any other final fantasy, they get harder.

Sound: The game has the all the old music in it which still sounds amazing to this day. You will hear the dame victory tunes, spell sounds etc, as you would hear in the original Final Fantasy. Overall the sound is good

Graphics: Final Fantasy 1 has be polished up for the Game Boy Advance with better graphics, but do not worry, the game still has sprites which will look similar to the old ones. The game looks nicer on the Game Boy Advance do you wont have to worry about playing something which looks too old.

Final Fantasy 2:

Gameplay: Unfortunately, I felt that Final Fantasy 2 was worse than Final Fantasy 1 due to not having level ups, and instead using level ups for each kind of skill, weapons, and magic. This may sound interesting but it can be annoying when training for harder dungeons although in some cases it does make it easier to train. The game now has better story and actual characters so it will seem more like a newer Final Fantasy. I did find this game very enjoyable again, but it may get stressful at some points, enemies always seem to attack first and this can be annoying when they have deadly attacks and they have already ambushed you. I also found that my status was constantly being effected, leading to things like game over due to being petrified, can be annoying but can be avoided.

Sound: Like Final Fantasy 1, you have got the same wonderful sound as you do in the original. You can even hear where the choboco theme originally came.

Graphics: They have been made better and are still better than Final Fantasy 1, sprite visuals have been improved but nothing has been improved too much

Dawn Of Souls:

Value: You are getting two games so do not expect to complete this quickly, both games have bonus dungeons for you to play once completing the game so you will have a lot to do. The game will give you around 40-100 hours of game play depending on your skill level, you may be a veteran or a newcomer.

Overall: There is nothing really to stop old fans from picking this up and enjoying it, and it may seem a good choice for any new comers to the series, who want to see it where it all started from. Some people may find both games really easy, a tip would be the word "blood sword". The game may seem stressful at some parts, as do all final fantasies in my opinion but at the end of it all, you will love the game.
