It's a classic, and it's portable what more can you ask for?
Graphics: Outdated now, but who cares. It still looks just fine, and if you can't get around the graphics, then you probably haven't been a gamer very long. I say overall the game looks decent, just as good as any other game on the advance but keeping true to its roots.
Gameplay: Have you played Final Fantasy? Well this is the origin of the active time battle system, so if you've played it before, it feels the same here. There are some slight differences, but nothing major.
Sound: Love it...this is the music video game nerds day dream to. And for music lovers this is classical composing at its best...though simplified for the game format.
Overall: There's a reason this game was considered so good when it came out. Because it is good. I don't see why time's passing would drop the score on this game. If you're a fan of the series, and you want something to play on vacation, or whatever, then pick this up.
