The Great Series continues with one of the longest and greatest games in the world.
This game starts with a young boy soon to be named Vivi (a main character). he wants to see a great play named I want to be your Canary. after finding out his ticket is fake Vivi runs into a small boy/rat named Puck (not a main character). Puck tell Vivi that he can get into the play for FREE! after running across rooftops and climbing ladder they finally get in.
Tantalus is a band of thieves that wish to Kidnap princess Garnet( main character). Zidane(main character) and his friends are a theartre group and are performing 'I want to be your Canary' Zidane and Blank (not really a main character) play their parts then run off to kidnapp the princess.
While the play is going on the Princess leaves her seat to eventually run away from her evil mother Queen Branhe as this happen she runs into 2 guards( Zidane and Blank, reason for this is explained), she runs passed them and begins a frantic chase! Garnet's soilder guard Adelbert Steiner (main charcter) notices something wrong and he joins in the chase.
After all this running about and battles you leave Alexandria with Zidane,Garnet, Vivi and Steiner and a broken airship. This ship crashes in the deadly Evil Forest, this is where the fantasy action really begins!
This game has so much to do, its spread over 4 discs, there are 8 main charcters overall Zidane, Garnet, Vivi, Steiner, Freya, Eiko, Amarant Coral and Queina. There are hundreds of places to go, and many enemies to face, there is also extras.
When a character grows a level their HP (hit points) rises and so do their attack and defence and so on. You can buy hundreds of upgrades for the characters.
Disc 4 is the best - Memoria, a giant castle that holds all the hurtful memories of the characters, and then crystal world where you fight the Final bosses - Trance Kuja (zidanes evil brother created by Garland) and the Necron. This Game has an epic ending. I only completed the game this year (2005) from getting it a day after it's release.
I see FF9 as the best in the series, followed by FF7 then FF8.
