The best casual strategy game I've ever played.

User Rating: 9.5 | Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Fuuketsu no Grimoire DS
I'm a guy who likes his strategy games. I've played many of these types of games over the years. But Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is the first time in my life I was ever completely swept away.

The game starts off alright (maybe a little kiddie-ish, but just get through it all you tough guys). After that, it's all about adventure, stories, controlling land, and micro-managing your party to exactly your tastes. This game has everything a person who loves micromanaging armies would want. Including God knows how many jobs, abilities, weapons & armor, accessories and spells to mould each individual character in your army.

It is extremely clear the alot of genuine effort went into FFTA2. It really felt like this game was made by people who truely loved what project they were on. The game is so deep, and well rounded that it's near impossible to find a flaw with it. There's no holes in this one, it's completely fleshed out.

I also feel the short stories that are told in the game are excellent, and are a testiment to the amount of effort that went into the project. There's always something interesting to read that gives you a closer understanding of the world you are playing in.

What stops this game from being a 10 is the limited amount of jobs you can expose each character to. There are tonnes of jobs in the game, but your character can only dabble in the professions pre-selected by the game from their list. This isn't a huge deal, but it does kind of put up a wall.

Long story short: If you have a DS and want a strategy game, this is "the one." If there was one game I had to choose to be stranded on a desert isle with, it's this one.

9.8/10
(My score up top says 9.5, but that's only beacuse the scale works in increments of 0.5)
