I was so excited when i found out there was a FFTA coming out on the DS... i got it on release day... and i was disappointed. For new players they will like the interface and the story, but veterans like me find some things just plain disappointing. The new jobs and classes give the game a new breath of fresh air, i was pleased with that. The new quests are well thought out, and the interface is so much easier to use. The bazaar system is innovative and fresh. But that's where it all goes down the drain. The rules are so idiotic and lame that they should not have changed the system. They are predetermined for each mission removing the randomness of the rule system of the previous game. While it is nice not to get sent to jail for messing up, losing the extra loot and clan privilege is a tad unfair. Some laws wont let you even miss an attack against opponent. The loss of the combo system and jp makes some missions dreadfully hard. And no more leveling sprees... all exp is given at the end of battle. All clanners get the same exp except the MVP who gets a slight boost. Clan Wars are gone, so no more cheap exp and gil... damn. It's not a bad game by any means... it just takes veterans of the previous game a while to get used to the changes.
