Square Enix rocks you with their gba hit.

My 2nd favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. this game will push you to such a pinnacle of satisfaction, it is un-imaginable. you start off as a quiet and self centered individual who you can name, but is defualtly named marche. Marche is new in town, and has a troubled past. he tries to keep slightly to himself as you start out in a snowball fight that shows off the mechanics of the fighting system. After some stumbleing... the bullys start to pick on one of your shy friends... Mewt. Mewt gets hurt and the snowball fight ends... He wants to come over to your house to show you a book. this book is filled with all kinds of mystical symbols and pictures. Mewt makes a wish and you get submerged into a FF world.... and so the adventure begins. Gameplay: if you are a fan of turn based combat, then this is the game for you. The game gives you a wide choice of options that can do anything from causing a status condition to Summoning a Totemma. The real hilight of this game, however is the unique job system that works well with the combat. here is a basic rundown of the job system... You start out with 5 different races with only 2 or 3 jobs to choose from. Alot of jobs are race specific. You can equip weapons based on your job. for example if you are a human soldier, you can equip swords. if you are a banga Monk, then you can equip knuckles. almost all weapons have abilities hidden within them... for example The sword, shortsword. lets you use the ability first aid. each battle you get into raises your ability points which go to your abilities. after enough ability points are collected, you can master an ability, so you no longer need the shortsword equiped in order to use first aid. the more abilities you master, the more jobs become available. I fell in love with this system because of the fact that even though it is complicated, it works suprisingly well for turn based combat Graphics: I didn't know that the gba could have such bright colors that populate this magical world of ivalace. although the building design is a bit linear, it does the best of its diaganal grid approach to combat. you can distinctly tell the difference between one area to the next. just stunning for the time Sound: Although the sound gets slightly repetitive after 400 hours of gaming:P it stays in your head. I remember that once I stayed up for 18 hours playing this game, and the next day of school... every pitch in a conversation started up the music playing in my head. anyways the sound is very well orchastrated given the game's whimsical feel. I still hum the toons to pass the time Value: OMFG you will play this game till ur gba breaks. (like I did) 543 hours and counting :P this is probobly the longest I have ever played a game, or that almost anyone has played a game. and for 30$!!!!! my god... it's a steal. I have gotten everything in this game and then some. I am still playing it constantly. Overall: 2nd best game evah. nuff said
