One of the most addicting strategy games for the GBA to date. I can't wait for FFTA2.

When I bought this game, i didn't know just how bad this game was going to affect me. But, after the first couple battles, I was hooked. While the game starts out pretty slow, after you learn just what each class can do, and how much you can customize each and every member of your clan, you get hooked. The Storyline is pretty simple and easy to follow. Your name is Marche, and you are one of four kids, who gets sent to the world of Ivalice through a magical book. In Ivalice, the kids get split up, and Marche tries to find his way home. And that is basically it. Well, the gameplay is pretty simple and not too sophisticated. You get to choose a certain number of people from your clan to fight with at the very beginning of the battle. Then, when it is one of your units' turn, you move him/her and choose to either attack (in some way), use an item, or wait. Then the enemy does the same (or whomever's turn it is next). And thats basically it on the gameplay. Rise and Repeat. Where the game really shines is not the story, or even the gameplay, but the game really shines on the amount of depth that you can customize your clan members. There are four races. Humans, Moogles, Viera, and Bangaa. Each race has certain classes that it can choose from. Like Viera have the "Fencer" class, so only they can be "Fencers", etc. Each unit can learn abilities in his/her class based on the items you equip him/her with. After gaining AP (Ability Points ..i think) through missions and battles, they learn the ability, and can use it without having that item equipped. And once a unit learns enough abilities in their class, they can unlock and even higher class to choose from. Then the unit can change classes and learn abilities through that class, while (if you choose) still being able to use their previous class's abilities. This summary does not to the game justice. I highly doubt that this game is made anymore, so go to GameStop or EB Games and try and find yourself a used copy or something, because this game is a MUST HAVE.
