What secrets lay behind the "real" War of The Lions differs greatly than that of the church. The truth awaits discovery…

Battle in FFT: WOTL is a great joy for those who played its predecessor Final Fantasy Tactics on the Playstation, but for those who are new, there is a steep learning curve and many adjustments to be made before one can fully grasp all the aspects of battle. The job classes allow for numerous character manipulation and altercation of your adventure party. From the lowly squire to the coveted Dark Knight, discovering all the classes is half the fun. Each job has its unique features and abilities. The game allows characters to somewhat use "sub-jobs" with their current main job by putting abilities of the sub-job on the character, (i.e. a monk with the dragoons "jump" ability). Leveling is the most complex system for newcomers as there are several aspects to take into consideration, not to mention each job change will automatically alter your characters stats. Learning "grind" is key to fully mastering this game.

The game is caked with plenty of extras, easter eggs, and hidden items and weapons. The multiplayer is a fun way to spend time with a friend via Ad Hoc, you can choose to battle each others parties or take on several challenging quests together (some items and weapons can only be unlocked this way). Unfortunately, unless your levels are relatively close together then one friend will pummel the other mercilessly into the ground.

All in all, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of The Lions is an excellent game that many can enjoy. The beautifully animated cut-scenes and voice acting is a crisp and fresh new feature that makes the story all the more heart-felt. Upon playing FFT: WOTL you uncover a plot some deep that not even St. Ajora herself could have predicted.
