Is this new game worthy of the name it carries?

The same studio that brought us FFIII and FFIV for the nds has decided to make an original Final Fantasy game for the same console. But is the game really worthy of being a Final Fantasy, or does it fall short?

Gameplay: The game was designed to be old-schooled, and so is the gameplay. It's a standard old-schooled JRPG. You have to travel through a world map, with random encounters and some dungeons which are pretty much linear and with no difficulty. The first thing that surprised me are the random encounters. I was expecting them to be a lot, but surprisingly, they aren't that often, which I thank. The battles are played with a crown system. Each of your four characters can have a crown, which is a job. Each crown can be improved with jewels you get in battles, and that gives you new skills for the job you're using. You can also improve equipments.
Some annoying facts about the gameplay, are auto-targeting and limited item slots. None of them bothered me that much. Auto-targeting was just annoying when trying to revive someone, since the character usually revived someone I didn't want to revive, and the limited item slots, while obviously annoying, are realistic (since I don't think any bag could carry more than 15 items) and not that bad, since you can store more items in the bank. Also, items don't stack.
There's also a multiplayer, but I had no one to play with. However, I've heard it's nothing special, you can power level and trade items basically.
The amount of puzzles and minigames were really lacking for a game like this, and instead, we got some almost linear dungeons.
8/10

Graphics: The graphics are cartoonish, and are drawn like a storybook. That makes the game look kind of cute, but I think the graphics are good and don't affect the game at all.
7/10

Sound: The music isn't that great. I was disappointed when I didn't hear the Final Fantasy theme after each battle. Overall, the soundtrack was mostly forgettable, with a few exceptions.
6/10

Story: Even when stories are a really important aspect in RPG's, the developers decided not to take that in account. The story is really uninteresting, and didn't keep me wanting to see more. The game begins with a character named Brandt in his 14 year old birthday who goes see the king to be accounted as a man more in the town of Horne. When he gets there, the king ilogically asks him to go rescue his daughter who has been kidnapped.
All characters are forgettable, and so is the story, which is a shame, since this is an RPG.
4/10

Concept: The concept has some good ideas, like the crown system, which can be used in a lot of different ways, but some other aspects and the uninteresting story make it look bad.
6/10

Replay Value: The replay value is high for anyone willing to get all treasure chests and doing the extra towers. From my experience, those extra things were boring to do, so anyone wanting to fell compelled to be playing will find an unpleasant surprise.
7/10

Difficulty: The game has a good difficulty. Just when you think you have the best strategy, a new boss comes and makes you restructure your strategy, which is good, since the challenge's always then. The bonus towers were also really hard, but I don't consider them worth anyone's time, since they're really boring.
8/10

Fun: I had fun playing this game. The gameplay made it a fun experience. However, the story didn't keep me playing, which is a shame. All the extra stuff was boring too, so the actual fun is in the standard game.
9/10

Conclusion: If you're looking for a good RPG that can get you entertained for sometime, this is good. However, there are some way better games out there, so it's your decision if you give this game a chance or not.
Don't expect too much from the story, though.
