Sorry Cloud fans, but 6 is better than 7
User Rating: 10 | Final Fantasy VI SNES
Final Fantasy 6 is one of the best RPG's ever as far as I'm concerned and certainly my favorite of every Final Fantasy game I've played (all of them except for 11). It has a great, in depth story that, while perhaps a few characters are emphasized in the plot, every character has secrets revealed about them. I will not indulge anyone into any spoilers, but rest assured its all very interesting. As far as I remember, this is also the first game in which there was a massive online uproar and countless rumors surrounding the obtaining of a certain secret character. I looked on the forums today, and I saw someone STILL asking whether or not you could get general leo. while this is more a statement of the intelligence of the person inquiring, it also notes the significance of one of the games legacy. The story is about as long if I remember, if not longer, than 7, and in my opinion, it is much better. Plus it's got fricking Kefka, the best of all the villains in the Final Fantasy series. Sure, Sephiroth was badass, but you don't know evil until you see Kefka. The soundtrack for this game (Composed by Nobuo Oeumatsu) is amazing and well done, one of the most supreme on the SNES. I recomend this game to anyone. Especially to anyone who thinks that Final Fantasy 7 is the best of the FF games.
