This game is good. Not perfect, but good nonetheless.

As one of probably thirteen people who did not play this game on either the Playstation or the SNES, I went in not knowing what to expect. Simply put, I liked what I got. This game is long, involving, and complex. One usually gets wrapped up in the stories of the characters, stories which shan't be disclosed here. All of the unique characters, ranging from a thief to a gambler to an artist, add a dimension of freedom to the story. There are, though, some minor gripes. The major gripe is that there isn't really any reason to return to the game once you've completed it. Additionally, the game seems "rigged" against some characters and in favor of others, making it harder to have "complete" freedom with them. Finally, this game is EASY. Only a couple places have a high difficulty, but even those pass by quickly. In conclusion, any fan of RPGs will see past the occasional problem with this game and realize that it is possibly (but not definitely) the best in the series. The length, depth, and design of this game will make you happy if you pick it up.
