CG Masterpiece. "...my very conception of what a movie is has been shattered by this film of epic proportions."
Combining comedy, action, and the serious elemental of Final Fantasy has given birth to a titan among Square Enix's monumental series. When asked the question of which part was my favorite in the movie by a colleague of mine, I was flabbergasted by my immediate response: "I don't know!" I truly could not pick a scene to be my favorite, as they were all masterfully done and held their own purpose and meaning throughout the entirety of the movie.
With the return of most everyone's favorite characters in this game, good or bad, has no doubt left a satisfying taste in each and every FF fan's heart. Like a warm fuzzy feeling that has renewed our love for the series, but more inparticulary Final Fantasy VII. With that said there is little else to say other than the fact that this may very well be one of the greatest movies ever made; or at least the best movie based on a game for sure.
The only downside is that to truly understand what was happening one would have to had played the game; and many a movie goer aern't what you might call avid gamers. Though, still, many are both, so think of this movie as like a big "Thank you" card from Square itself. The shear enjoyment and splendor this movie attains will bring tears to your very hardened gaming hearts.
And, hey... Does anyone know where I might get that "Victory" theme music for my Celluar Phone like one of the bad guys had? I'm itching to hear my phone burst out in a "Da da da DA da da DA DA daaa" right in the middle of class. Heh. Heh.
