This movie is for any die hard fan of the FF VII series and people who haven't played it will not really understand it

Even though this isn’t a video game review, this movie is one of the many installments to the Final Fantasy VII collection that I hope will be released to the public here in the United States.

Final Fantasy has been a motivator for great RPG’s of the past and in the present and their story lines and character development within the game could trigger other movie makers to want to make a featured film for this genre of gaming. I am almost certain that anyone who enjoys CG movies and has played Final Fantasy VII for the Playstation will become a fan once again of the game and characters.

The movie starts off with action right away and kind of leaves you guessing about ‘mother’ and why they want it so bad. Cloud is the main character in the movie (rightfully so) as he now works as a delivery boy for hirer but there is one project called in by Reno that will change his life and his goals. After he defeated Sephiroth, Cloud has lost confidence within him-self and feels he can not help those he cares for, those he loves. Over the course of the movie, he does regain his confidence as a fighter.

The movie also introduces all the characters from the game with some great looks to them. Aeris, Tifa, Barret, Red XIII, Cid, Yuffie, Vincent, and even Sephiroth makes an appearance. Some new characters are placed in the mix as the ‘bad guys’ who want mother. Kadaj is the leader while Loz, and Yazoo fall under his command. The whole plot of this story is to have a reunion with ‘mother’ which is told what mother is near the end of the movie.

The graphics and special effects in the movie are just wonderful with some unbelievable moves, fighting and just plain fun tactics in the movie. CG technology has improved over time since Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within came out in 2001. The movement of each character is becoming almost life-like and the outfits and features of the people look like real people.

I am a fan of this movie and would advise any gamer who enjoyed Final Fantasy VII to go out and get this movie whenever they can. Rent it if you must but I think its one of those movies you should have in a RPG gamer’s collection.
