Awesome graphics, awesome fights... everything else is "meh"

This is DEFINATELY not as good as they say it is. I mean, the graphics are great, and the fight scenes are awesome... the thing is, it isn't ALL fight scenes. The other parts left a lot to be desired. The story frankly sucked and it seems that the other characters (meaning, not Cloud or Tifa) were there to make the fans happy. They each do like 2 things in one fight scene. Cait Sith doesn't even do anything. He just rides on Red XIII's back the whole time and tells Yuffie to shut up once.
To be honest, I was very excited about this. I thought that it would have a story to rival that of FF7, which it deserved. The thing is, it seems to be a complete reversal of the game, with awesome graphics rather than FREAKIN' SQUARES FOR HANDS and very little character development in place of one of the best stories ever told. I'd recommend seeing this movie, but only if you can watch it without buying it. Like, borrow it from a friend or something.
