Ive been waiting for this movie for months and its finally here, so time to review it. After watching the rundown of the final fantasy 7 story I was even more eager to dive into the movie so off I went. First and foremost I have to say the visuals are fantastic. The animation is also spot on which is to be expected from a company like square enix. The voice acting is superb all round. These are the good points, but not everything is this rosy. The action scenes are worth watching, but they are arguably the only thing worth watching. The dialogue is mediocre at the best of times and the parts between action scenes are drawn out. Newcomers will be unimpressed, whereas veterans will scream with glee when barret bursts in to fight bahamut. I also think red should have got more lines but you cant have everything. Overall, the action scenes are astounding, but the dialogue is not as impressive.

  This movie fills in everything that should've been filled in at the end of Final Fantasy VII.
