Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Simply put, it is visually gorgeous and that's about it. It feeds the hunger but is tastless.

It is hard to believe all the hardcore fans waited nearly a decade for THIS. When everyone finished Final Fantasy VII (and if you haven't, well that's a shame) they just wanted more and more. If you fell in love with the characters, the story, and the game, you know that it deserves a rich and fulfilling continuation of the story. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children does not deliver that. However, it is visually stunning, beyond belief. This is good stuff and makes you wonder what the game could've been like if we had this kind of technology then. For first time fans, this will be a fun movie to watch at the sacrifice of character development and a real plot. But true fans and dedicated game freaks know that this does not do the Final Fantasy VII franchise justice. So enjoy the eye candy, it is DEFINITELY better than nothing... At least that is what I tell myself.

  This movie fills in everything that should've been filled in at the end of Final Fantasy VII.
